Artist Statement

My artistic expression is a dance between form and function, where each piece tells a story inspired by nature’s beauty. I strive to capture simplicity and elegance, allowing my handcrafted creations to speak through organic forms and textures.

Working primarily with clay, I embrace spontaneity, letting the material guide me. My Raku-fired pottery, infused with horsehair, creates one-of-a-kind imprints—fleeting moments made permanent. The interplay of fire, smoke, and earth reflects nature’s unpredictability, making each piece truly unique.

My sculptural work expands on these ideas, exploring movement, balance, and the raw beauty of the natural world. Whether abstract or figurative, my sculptures embody a sense of fluidity, inviting connection and contemplation.

My porcelain work introduces a delicate contrast, emphasizing lightness and refinement. Its smooth, translucent quality allows subtle details to emerge, enhancing the interplay between fragility and strength. Each piece reflects my deep appreciation for nature’s intricacies and the quiet elegance found in simplicity.
