Approach
At Liz Brownrigg ART, pottery is a practice of presence, patience, and connection. I approach each piece with reverence for the raw materials—clay drawn from the earth, fire that transforms, and the subtle dialogue between intention and chance. My process is slow and intentional, allowing the form to emerge naturally through touch, intuition, and attention to detail. I lean into imperfection, celebrating the organic marks and surprises that give each piece its soul. Whether working alone or in collaboration, I strive to create pieces that not only serve a function, but carry feeling—pieces that root us in nature, memory, and meanings.
Portfolio
My portfolio is a window into my evolving relationship with clay—a collection of work shaped by fire, intuition, and a deep reverence for nature. From sculptural forms that explore movement and emotion, to raku-fired pieces etched with smoke and spirit, to functional dinnerware crafted for everyday ritual, each piece carries a story. It’s a celebration of contrast: raw and refined, fragile and grounded, intentional yet open to the unexpected. Together, these works embody the heart of my practice, where art becomes both vessel and voice.
